Si logra hacerlo, Glyn habrá estado más de 150 horas seguidas frente a la TV, es decir, más de 6 días seguidos sin dormir (el récord actual es de 4 días).
Además, como muestra de apoyo al intento de récord, la FOX le va a enviar a Glyn los 451 episodios en DVD para que la tarea de visionarlos sea algo más fácil. Obviamente y como gran fanático que es, terminará su maratónica misión mirando "Los Simpson: La película".
Los jueces del Libro Guiness de los Récords estarán constantemente junto a él asegurándose de que sus ojos miren siempre al televisor, y han puesto sus propias condiciones para que el intento sea considerado un récord. Por ejemplo, si lo desea, Glyn puede hacer una pausa durante 20 minutos cada 3 episodios; si quiere comer durante el récord, sus ojos no deben mirar al plato, deben mirar al televisor todo el tiempo; y se le permitirá utilizar una bicicleta estática para ayudar a que la sangre circule por su cuerpo, pero incluso en esos momentos deberá seguir la TV.
